PROJECTS

With more than 35 years experience, Wade Industrial has successfully completed many small, medium and large projects. Our quality assurance and involvement as a solutions partner includes everything from the design, supply and installation of process steam systems, and associated components.

Some of our larger projects include:

  • 1988

    Wade Industrial designed, supplied and installed all the peripheral equipment for a pasta factory comprising of a long goods and short goods plant in Botswana, including hot water, chilled water, compressed air and vacuum systems.

  • 1992

    Chicken feed plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed an offloading system for molasses and fatty acids at the rail siding, and storage into intake silos supplied by others, including heat tracing and lagging.

  • 1992

    Chicken feed plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed a compressed air system to all users (about 450) in a new feed mill in what was then one of the largest feed mills in the world.

  • 1999

    Chicken feed plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed steam and condensate systems for new pellet press.

  • 2003

    Chicken feed mill, KwaZulu-Natal - Designed, supplied and installed fatty acid reticulation system from holding tank on ground floor to two production lines, including heat tracing and lagging.

  • 2003

    Chicken feed mill, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed fatty acid reticulation system from holding tank in basement to batching units at top of workhouse, including heat tracing and lagging.

  • 2003/4

    Sawmill, Mpumalanga - Designed, supplied and installed a new boiler feed water system from the existing hotwell to three existing boilers, including new pumps, control valves, Mobrey level controllers and alarm system. Re-integrated refurbished steam driven 'Weir' pump as emergency standby.

  • 2003

    Dog food plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed a new fatty acid reticulation system from the supply tank in the basement to four sets of sprays on the 5th floor, including lagging and heat tracing. Make modifications required to the compressed air supply. Connect water onto three enzyme addition plants.

  • 2004

    Laundry, Gauteng - Installed new steam main line and modified condensate and compressed air systems to service one Senking tunnel finisher, and connect up eight ironing presses.

  • 2004

    Hospital laundry, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed steam, condensate and compressed air systems to 1 - Senking industrial washing tunnel and 5 - 120 kg. tumble driers, as well as a water supply to the washing tunnel.

  • 2006

    Provincial laundry, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed steam, condensate and compressed air systems to 1 - Senking industrial washing tunnel and 8 - 120 kg. tumble driers, as well as a water supply to the washing tunnel. Provided steam, condensate and compressed air to 2 tunnel finishers. Installed new steam system to approximately 18 ironing presses and connected steam, condensate and compressed air to these machines.

  • 2006/7

    Cardboard manufacturing plant, Gauteng - Designed and installed a modified steam/ condensate system to the corrugating plant. Installed new flash steam recovery system and condensate pump system. Modified feed water system to boiler and level control in boiler hotwell.

  • 2007

    Tobacco plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed a pump and control system for a duplicate chilled water reticulating system for 16 filter production machines situated on the ground floor, Modified PZ storage tanks, supplied and installed copper PZ reticulation system to these machines.

  • 2008

    Paper producing plant, Gauteng - Modified and standardized steam trap sets on PM2 paper machine. Designed, built and installed a duplex TLV GP10 condensate pump set, and re routed condensate system from machine PM2 to condensate pump. Installed "Devroniser" on PM2 machine and connected to steam, condensate and compressed air systems, including pressure reducing and desuperheating equipment.

  • 2009

    Tobacco plant, Gauteng - Designed, supplied and installed a duplex chilled water circulating system to supply 16 filter production machines in basement from pumps installed previously, as well as a stainless steel reticulation system for PZ material, also from pumps and storage facility installed previously.

  • 2009

    Feedmill, Gauteng - Designed supplied and installed an 80mm N.B. steam main line from the boiler to the conditioner at the pellet press, and condensate return system back to the boiler hotwell.

  • 2009

    Hospital, Gauteng - Supply and install 11 steam heated hot water storage calorifiers.

  • 2011

    Tobacco plant, Gauteng - Supply and install new compressed air and vacuum system.

  • 2012

    Detergent manufacturer, Gauteng - Design, supply and install steam and condensate system for new process plant.

  • 2012/13

    Pasta plant, Mozambique - The design, supply and installation of the peripheral equipment for a pasta plant, including superheated hot water generation and reticulation (140 deg.C.), chilled water generation and reticulation, water treatment and compressed air supply.

  • 2012/13

    Can warming plant, Gauteng - The design, supply and installation of a steam and condensate reticulation system to a can warming plant.

  • 2015

    Plywood plant in Mpumalanga - The design supply and installation of a super-heated hot water reticulation system (170 deg.C.) to a 24 daylight platen press for the new plywood plant.

  • 2018

    Board manufacturing plant, Mpumalanga - Re-designed, manufactured and installed four heat exchangers operating at 20 barg. for the MDF dryer.
